Job Description

As Project Manager, you will assume the overall project leadership of client's new Retail Core Receivable Platform. The overall objective is to build and deploy our new platform to position the current legacy platform for retirement.

• Establish and prioritize business requirements

• Coordinate and align diverse stakeholders working towards the project objectives

• Develop project scope

• Evaluate target solutions (new products and services)

• Develop iterative implementation plan

• Design, develop, test and deploy solutions; and,

• Transition to post implementation support and ongoing product enhancements

• Mitigate risks

Your overall responsibility is to ensure the project meets its goals, delivered within established timelines and budget. You will work closely with all internal and external teams, engage key stakeholders in defining, planning, and managing all aspects of the project, including identifying key resources, providing the direction required to meet project objectives and commitments and ensuring appropriate management, customer, and supplier involvement. This project is part of our Business Transformation Program. The Project Manager will be required to provide updates on project progress, risks and issue to the Business Transformation Program.

Responsibilities

  • Manage delivery partners: Collaborate with both internal and external delivery partners to ensure key dependencies are surfaced, managed; risks are mitigated to ensure successful delivery of the project.
  • Manage transition: Ensure all aspects of the transition from project to operational support are considered and executed.
  • Manage project delivery: Manage the planning, analysis, design, development, implementation and satisfaction of project requirements. Provide oversight on all project phases from discovery through delivery, implementation and post implementation review. Ensure project is delivered on time, within budget and meet business goals.
  • Manage communication: Ensure easy and transparent communication of status, risks, financials etc. with all stakeholders, including Executive Sponsors and Executive Steering Committee. Ensure artifacts and documentations are kept according to the Program standard.
  • Manage changes: Implement and manage changes and interventions in accordance with Program change management policy and processes to ensure project goals are achieved. Ensure aspects of Organization Change Management are considered and executed.
  • Manage financials: Develop, maintain, and report budget for the project. Where required, develop budget proposals, and seek approval to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of the project.


Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate and present effectively and concisely to executive level stakeholders.
  • Experience managing projects in the financial services industry
  • Experience in delivering projects using Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience in successfully managing remote teams/projects including technical infrastructure, information security resources and third-party resources.
  • Strong skills using MS Suite including Microsoft Project.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop solutions that can quickly bring alignment and resolution to issues across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, good judgment and effective decision-making including industry best practices and standards.
  • Experience in project building functionality and workflow configuration on modern application platforms, integration, data conversion, and release management
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining Project Governance, including reporting to Program and Executive Steering Committees
  • University Degree in Computer Science/Business Administration or related discipline.
  • PMP, PMI Certification preferred.
  • Proven experience successfully delivering enterprise-wide large scale business transformation projects and manage stakeholders across work teams and management levels.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Results oriented mindset.
  • 10+ years of Project experience / Project Management (full life-cycle) in a senior capacity.
  • Strong skills in vendor management, project management and stakeholder management.
  • Experience in managing retail core servicing platform projects in the lease & loan space preferred
