As a software engineer on the Banking Core server engineering team at Cash App, your primary role will be to drive the technical design, execution, and delivery of new banking products. This will help make Cash App the best place to deposit money by providing best-in-class banking utility, incentives, and trust. You will work closely with other teams and disciplines to ensure the robustness and availability of banking offerings. In addition, you'll help drive architectural decisions and infrastructure improvements to make our systems more robust and scalable. The products you build will create significant impact at scale and will fundamentally change the consumer banking landscape as we know it today.

As a member of the team, you’ll:

• Design systems to work within our microservice and event-driven architectures
• Partner closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and business leads to scope, plan, design, and build new features as well as maintain existing functionality
• Hold your teammates — and yourself — to high engineering standards
• Lead and participate in critical technical, design, and product discussions with leaders across the organization and company
• Leverage your experience and knowledge to support your teammates

Qualifications

You have:

• Expected graduation between May 2021 and May 2023 and are completing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math or a related technical field, as well as boot camp graduates and engineering training participants with 1+ years of software development or equivalent experience (including internships and co-ops)
• Drive to find flaws in a system and take whatever steps are necessary to fix them
• The ability to design and build creative solutions to complex problems
• A strong desire to perform and grow as an engineer
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
