Product Development Manager Jobs

Our client is a leading food manufacturing company that is looking to bring on board a talented Product Development Manager for their facility in the Brampton area. In this exciting new position, you will take a lead role in idea conception to finished production. This is a great opportunity to be a key stakeholder in a growing company that invests in its employees. Please note this is on site Mon-Fri days.

What we are looking for you to do:

• Prepare and present samples and specifications
• Manage ingredient functionality and recipe formulation within processing parameters
• Develop component elements to be manufactured
• Source new and innovative ingredients
• Research, formulation and development of new products within timelines including; basic costing, processing requirements, SOPs and specifications
• Develop analytic methods and control techniques for raw materials and finished goods
• Provide for the design and development of ingredient, product and packaging specifications
• Construct new product samples
• Provide technical support to external and internal customers (Customers, Sales, QA and Ops)
• Investigate, report and make recommendations on technical issues which may impact the business

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience with taking products through idea concept, prototyping, and commercialization
• Min 5+ years Product Development experience in value added protein
• Private label experience ideal
• Degree in Food Science or related science required
