7 years + of R&D/Product Development experience in a food production facility

· Post-secondary education in Food Science, Science, Engineering, Culinary or related field

We have two positions, for our Edmonton and Calgary facilities.

· Work with Quality Assurance on preparation and production of samples, testing, nutritional analysis, shelf life studies;

· Maintain R&D areas and fulfill other related duties

· Lead continuous improvement projects

· Minimum of 3 years in product development or related field

Manage the product validation, registration and launch programs for Wheat, Barley and Canola

Develop, manage and monitor budgets, resourcing plans and projects

Define and manage work programs of contractors and consultants required for product programs

Degree in Agriculture, Plant Science, Microbiology, or Soil Science, or M.S. degree with 5-10 years of industry experience

Strong people, organization, and communication skills and ability to function in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

Proven experience bringing products to market via regulatory pathways

Creates business case notes for every win and sends along with the SOP to the respective regions’ product managers.

Maps and profiles customers in the key tradelane.

Prioritizes top customers in the lanes based on their business potential.

Maps developments with each customer and devise action plans.

Ensures due attention to new opportunity.

Prepares and updates organizational chart for all contacts across regions for the key tradelanes.

1 to 5 years experience in project management

Oversee the development of new products, from requirement to customer approval, while following the product development process (PDP)

Knowledge in modeling, on SolidEdge or equivalent

Ability to manage several projects simultaneously within the required time frame

Experience with motorized vehicles (asset)

Must have experience tracking inventory through LIMS or ERP systems (SAP and SalesForce experience is an asset)

Experience, Qualifications, and Educational Requirements:

Must possess strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

3 to 5 years of product development or research and development experience.

Knowledge of food product manufacturing, packaging, storage, and distribution.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Lead plant trials, develop manufacturing procedures, monitor initial production and finalize product implementation.

Experience is an asset, but early career professionals and more recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.

MSc or PhD is an asset and may be considered in lieu of recent work experience

Ability to prioritize, manage your time, and get things done

Experience working with hydrogels and other sustainable materials to optimize product performance and reduce environmental impact is an asset.

Experience with biochemistry workflows and principles is an asset.

Experience with modern characterization methods like NMR, MS, UV-Vis etc. is an asset.

Marketing & Product Development Manager

Create, implement, monitor and manage the overall marketing plan, budget and programs for White Point.

·Manage, monitor and respond to Trip Advisor, Google Reviews, etc.

·Manage relationships with advertising/communication/media agencies & freelancers to execute strategies and plans on time and on budget.

· Three (3) to five (5) years experience in dairy or food industry

· Knowledge of dairy products and their functionality
