As the Product and Content Merchandiser you will…
- Execute SEO categorization of products and supporting content and optimal inventory supply in quality and quantity based on weeks cover targets and store feedback to drive high sales and margins
- Oversee the process of assigning and maintain accurate pricing, promotions, campaigns, coupons etc. through SFCC
- Maintain and update all product imagery and attributes, including: badges, special features, filters, tags, Google feed exclusions, promotional pricing and copy on our digital platforms
- Analyze category performance to evaluate merchandising efforts, product sell through, and opportunities
- Be highly involved in UAT site testing for development projects and the regular site walks to ensure 100% accuracy
- Collaborate with the e-commerce team for onsite optimizations such as product recommendations, upselling and cross-selling opportunities, and search improvement
- Use analytics to identify opportunities for improvement in merchandising efficiency, and collaborate on optimization activities within your team
- Own the Product Review and Recommendation strategy and new feature development and conduct user acceptance testing with the UX team
- Assist with the day-to-day coordination of e-commerce marketplace activities, e.g. product uploads, reporting and organizing stock transfers
- Constantly audit the site to ensure products are in the correct categories, promotions are functioning, links lead to the correct pages and product set up is accurate
- Enhance site search and optimize performance by identifying and resolving searches with no results, creating and managing a library of synonyms for frequently misspelled products and keywords
- Report on e-commerce trade performance including KPIs, providing data-driven insight, and conducting deep dives to better understand shopping behaviors and trends
- Manage the end-to-end setup of all products by ensuring applicable items are activated in conjunction with omni-channel product releases and launches in stores and marketing calendars
- Strong knowledge of analytical tools for performance measurement and prior experience driving site improvements and innovations and proposing commercial objectives
- Proficient understanding of e-commerce UX, content and development projects, and intuitive knowledge of how users shop in digital environments
- 5+ years’ experience in site merchandising for an e-commerce website
- Advanced skill using web analytics and A/B testing to optimize product and category performance and related customer behaviour
- Prior experience working in a regulated environment with distinct creative boundaries (B2B or B2C software company experience would be a plus)
- Demonstrated experience supporting e-commerce platforms (Shopify would be an asset) and making site changes to improve conversion rates
- You are an organized professional who can prioritize tasks, manage projects and meet deadlines successfully in fast-paced environments
- You are a creative communicator who can articulate design ideas and solutions easily to all levels of an organization
- You are a self-motivated professional who takes pride in their work and goes above and beyond to deliver the best digital experience for customers
- You are a natural team player who enjoys collaborating with others to develop goals, complete tasks and drive results
