Role Overview

The Direct Sales Manager reports into the Head of Consumer Sales.

The core purpose of the Direct Sales Manager role is to promote Bupa Global’s Private Medical Insurance Policies to potential customers including High Net Worth (HNW) individuals, senior executives, mass affluent and expat customers.

Main Responsibilities

• Acquiring and building relationships with customers, creating referrals and developing new channels to market into the mass affluent and HNW segment
• Any adhoc projects and responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Consumer Sales
• Contribute to the continuous improvement process by putting forward ideas for improvement and making a contribution to focus groups
• Generating new business revenue from existing leads, cross selling to existing customers as well as creating new prospects from their own sales activities
• Accurately maintaining and updating customer records on the customer relationship management (CRM) system. Ensure that records are accurately updated whenever a customer makes contact
• Complying with all regulatory and governance requirements
• Striving the best to achieve all KPIs for sales, productivity and quality

The Ideal Candidate

• Team player and work well under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills are required with emphasis on achieving results and successful outcomes
• A track record of achieving and exceeding sales and quality targets
• Proven record in sales (insurance and medical insurance sales experience is a strong plus), along with strong networking and negotiation skills.
• Solution minded and willingness to be proactive in developing new customer leads
• Fluent in both English and Cantonese for business presentations, Mandarin is a plus
• Previous experience of a complex and multi skilled customer facing role
• Experience of selling high value consumer products and services to mass affluent and high net worth consumer segment, senior executives, mass affluent and expats
• IPMI (international private medical insurance) or PMI (private medical insurance) experience from either another insurer or brokerage strongly desired
