Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you!

Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. We are looking for dynamic consultants to grow our Life Sciences team in Toronto. Your experience, knowledge, and commitment will help us to face our client's challenges.

You will be supporting different projects through your expertise as Pharmaceutical Bioinformatician.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Analyze omics data using bioinformatics tools and libraries to identify relevant mutations
• Collaborate with the research team to integrate computational methods with experimental findings
• Perform NGS analysis, including mutation calling, DNAseq, and RNAseq
• Contribute to package development in R or Python, specifically in the context of Bioconductor
• Utilize workflow orchestration tools, such as NextFlow, to streamline analysis processes
• Optionally, create simulation and prediction pipelines to enhance algorithm performance
• Conduct single-cell analysis to uncover insights into neoantigen biology
• Develop and implement prediction and prioritization algorithms

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Master's Degree in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Bioengineering, or related sciences ; PhD and post-doctoral experience preferred
• Strong sense of responsibility and reliability, with a goal and task-oriented approach
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively, leveraging both public and private datasets to address scientific questions
• Minimum 5 years of experience as Bioinformatician in the pharmaceutical sector
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
• Good understanding of biological concepts and experimental methods commonly used in molecular biology, with a keen interest to learn more
