Position: Purchaser

Location: Peterborough, ON

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 Yearly

Industry: Manufacturing / Industrial / Purchasing / Supply Chain

Employment Term: Full Time / Permanent

Roles & Responsibilities

• Ensure an efficient purchasing strategy is ready and well implemented.
• Improve and manage a supplier base that is constant with the Company's requirements and standards
• Arrange for the technical evaluation & quality audits as needed
• Develops substitutes if a product is unavailable or more economical options are available without compromising the quality
• Thoroughly analyze tenders and negotiate improvements

Qualifications & Experience

• Training in advanced purchasing or selling techniques or in a technical field
• Familiar with the design and manufacture of industrial machinery and tools and fabricating methods
• 5+ years’ experience as a Senior Buyer in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical components
• Graduation from a recognized university or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written
• C.P.P. Degree from PMAC.
