The Role

Our Ottawa team is currently looking for a mechanically minded individual to ensure our fleet is running safely and smoothly. This role is perfect for people who are passionate about automotive excellence and are dedicated to showcasing and developing their technical skills with our experienced team.

Responsibilities

In this role you will help us get our famous brands to the people who love them across Canada. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Completing all necessary documents, including vehicle records
• Maintaining cleanliness in areas of work
• Maintaining records of daily check list (pre-trip inspections)
• Following the direction of Fleet Supervisor/Manager
• Diagnosing vehicle failures and disassemble, repairing and reassembling parts as necessary
• Responding to road calls
• Maintaining and repairing fleet equipment and perform preventative maintenance
• Performing all assigned duties in a safe and productive manner

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Must be certified (310T) as a Truck and Coach Technician
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Minimum of 2 years work experience required with preventative maintenance on trucks and industrial equipment; both propane and electrical powered
• Knowledge of hydraulic and air brake systems required
• Must have valid Driver's License in good standing
• High School Diploma or equivalent GED required
• Must be able to provide own tool set for the work

Additional skills you may have (not required, these are assets)

• Welding and electrical experience
• Experience with propane and electric forklifts, tractors, trucks, vans, pickups and cars

Physical demands and working conditions: 

• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and overtime as required
• Must be able to perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, reaching and grasping
• You are comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment
• You can lift/carry and push/pull up to 75lbs
