About The Role


JOB SUMMARY:


Reporting to the Managing Director of the Branch, the Sales Director is responsible for increasing branch revenue and gross profit by leading business development activities within the branch. The Sales Director, in conjunction with the Managing Director, will supervise, coach, mentor and direct BDM’s in their teams in goal setting and monitoring progress against goals not limited to ensuring that their team objectives for revenue and gross profit are achieved. Responsible for leading BDMs in developing marketing/sales strategies, customer service and account penetration plans to establish new accounts and expand current accounts. The Sales Director is also tasked with managing and expanding their own book of business in terms of revenue and gross profit and as directed by the respective Managing Director.


Essential Functions


What you’ll be doing


The SD meets their established individual and team sales quotas through placement of Modis resources by:


  • Effectively interprets and communicates Corporate policies and procedures
  • Guaranteed Delivery
  • Cataloging
  • Territory Planning and Branch Footprint
  • Involved with Strategic Bid Management, Account Distribution/re-assignment, and training requirements in conjunction with the Managing Director
  • Conducts regular weekly/monthly one-on-one meetings with each BDM to set review performance, and establish expectations
  • Manages, maintains and grows personal book of business in terms of revenue and gross profit
  • Responsible for managing the entire Bid Management process not limited to bid content and process to assemble the bid in conjunction with the BDC team and in conjunction with the Managing Director.
  • Works with Managing Director to establish a target account list and take the lead in strategizing and open opening the new target accounts with their team members
  • Establishes and implements sales and recruiting strategies for the branch under the leadership of the Managing Director
  • Accompanying BDMs on Sales calls and provide “curb side” feedback sessions
  • Provides professional development of their team members and provides guidance and mentorship on their career direction.
  • Provide backup support for team members were required
  • Account Strategy and client meeting activity
  • Provides leadership by leading team members in daily Branch Huddle meetings
  • Skills Assessments / Skills Assessment tools
  • Conducts formal delivery reviews, evaluates success and gathers lessons learned with team members; inclusive of RDMs
  • Prepares and recommends remedial plans and disciplinary action plans including Performance Improvement Plans of team members to Managing Director for approval
  • Provides mentoring, coaching and training to new and existing BDMs
  • Establishes and manages individual priorities and team priorities not limited to team assignments
  • Customer service
  • Use of COSMOS and KnowledgeSpring
  • Maintaining and adhering to metrics
  • Promotes and demonstrates the use of Modis methodologies where they exist
  • Establishing and maintaining a portfolio of candidates by skill set, by industry, etc.
  • On the floor lead for daily issue resolutions, Job Order prioritization and RDM coverage
  • Assists with managing and resolving disputes between teams in conjunction with the Managing Director
  • Provides leadership and direction to BDMs in execution of job responsibilities and duties not limited to:
  • Lead Role Playing on a consistent basis
  • Sales and Recruiting strategies development; not limited to :
  • Develops a working territory plan and reviews/revises it on a weekly/monthly basis in conjunction with the Managing Director
  • Reviews BDMs activity metrics against set expectations on a regular basis (requirements, interviews, meetings, placements, headcount and gross profit dollars)
  • Develops Business Plans, not limited to Account Planning/Territory Planning for new opportunities in current accounts and have the ability to provide creative staffing solutions based on various Adecco lines of business
About you


Education & Experience


  • Ability to apply detailed knowledge of the Information Technology industry
  • Proven consistent sales performance for the past 3 years
  • Demonstrates success in opening, maintaining and expanding accounts by developing strong client and employee relationships
  • 2+ years of Sales Management experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5-10 years of direct sales experience, not limited to experience within the Information Technology field
  • University Diploma/College degree
  • Solid project management experience
  • Prior experience in recruiting, selling and managing staff

  • Ability to manage multiple Profit & Loss statements simultaneously
  • Possess strong analytical and business organizational skills
  • Applies both sales and recruiting knowledge
  • Ability and willingness to dedicate time to developing BDMs sales technique
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • Willingness to accept additional responsibilities

  • Strong customer service skills, flexibility and Team player
  • Ability to market all service lines available and effectively cross sell with other Adecco Group Business Units
