NWC - People & Culture Manager


Nature’s Way of Canada wants you to join our growing company and talented team! Nature’s Way is known world-wide as a leading provider of high-quality natural medicines and nutritional supplements, including an expansive line of herbs, multivitamins, probiotics, and nutritional oils. We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated, and contagiously passionate HR leader to join our team based out of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

The People & Culture Manager is a key member of the Nature’s Way Canada Management team and influential in shaping and executing the People and Employee Wellbeing agenda for the Canadian team. This role will help design and deliver HR services and activities across Nature’s Way Canada’s operations that enhance productivity and positively contribute to the Nature’s Way employee experience.

Key areas of responsibility:

·This role provides strategic and operational HR support to leaders within the team


·This role is key in building and leading a positive, inclusive culture at NWC through various employee focused

initiatives. Including: Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, mental wellbeing initiatives, employee engagement and

community focused initiatives.


·Development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes engagement, quality, continuous

improvement, teamwork, and high performance

·Overall Performance Management - design strategies to drive performance and productivity outcomes to best

position the organization for success

·Provides leadership, guidance, and counsel to business leaders on matters related to organizational

change/organizational effectiveness and employee engagement

·Contributes to the long-term strategic planning of the business and people development, including succession

planning and talent acquisition

·Leads the analysis of employee feedback and data, with the aim of creating a better working environment and

engaged culture

·Oversee and manage full-cycle recruitment. Maintain a high degree of involvement in the recruitment of key

senior-level positions.

·Maintain current knowledge of all related Employment legislations and provide human resources and legislative

advice to both managers and employees where applicable.

·This role oversees the HR Business Partner and supports their growth and development accordingly along with

providing back up where necessary.


·Oversees and is a key contributor to health & safety agenda at NWC


·Develops and delivers learning materials and training content based on the needs of the business and

individual teams.


·Responsible for the selection and implementation of NWC benefits program as well as total rewards


·Responsible for a high degree of communication within the team.


·Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

As the ideal candidate, you have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, combined with several years of progressive HR experience. 1-3 yrs as an HR Manager is ideal. You are proactive and results-oriented with a passion for continuous improvement. The successful candidate will have strong generalist experience in the areas of recruitment/onboarding, training and development, compensation and benefits, and culture and engagement. Experience in a manufacturing environment would be an asset.
