We are seeking a People Business Partner to join our dynamic HR team for a 15-month contract. The successful candidate will have 5 years of work experience and a proven track record in complex HR generalist duties. This is a unique and demanding role and will include direct interaction with company executives. This role will report directly to the Vice President of People.


The Role:

  • Troubleshoot issues that arise as the business grows and determine scalable solutions
  • Develop and maintain effective HR metrics to measure and support the HR service delivery model
  • Develop and implement processes to enhance and automate workflow requirements
  • Assist in maintaining employee files in UKG (HRIS), upholding strict confidentiality of company and employee records
  • Identify solutions that drive a high performance culture and use your influencing skills to get buy-in from stakeholders
  • Stay up to date on any changes within the HR field regarding legislation or best practices
  • Successfully deliver high impact initiatives, processes, and policies
  • Build strategic partnerships with leaders by developing a deep knowledge and understanding of their business drivers, challenges and needs
  • Oversee and manage HR initiatives such as system analytics, onboarding & offboarding, and employee relations


Your Experience:

  • A combination of HR experience in the following areas: workforce planning, business consultation, organizational design, employee relations, performance management, conflict resolution, total rewards organizational effectiveness , and/or employment law
  • UKG experience is an asset and is strongly preferred
  • Power BI and HR data analytics experience is an asset and is strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced collaborative work environment while managing multiple competing priorities
  • Post-Secondary education in human resources, business, or a related field. CPHR is strongly preferred
  • Adaptable and a high-achiever who’s energized by a growing Canadian tech company
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience in a complex human resources generalist capacity
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Knowledge and practical application of all applicable human resource legislation, policies and practices. Knowledge of international legislative frameworks and jurisdictions is an asset and is strongly preferred
  • Experience in and knowledge of best practices in generalist HR areas such as Employee and Labour Relations, Talent Management and Organizational Development, Compensation and Total Rewards, Staff Wellness and Disability Management.
