Job Description

Manager, Ecosystem and Partner Operations (Canada)


SVG Ventures I Thrive is looking for a Senior Manager, Ecosystem and Partner Operations to join our team in Canada.This role is responsible for supporting the execution of Thrive Canada’s Programs and managing Government Partnerships. The role will report directly to the Managing Director (Canada).


Responsibilities:

  • Execute THRIVE Canada Start-up Pitch Challenges working cross functionally with the programs team.
  • Work cross-functionally to gather information necessary to complete federal & provincial grant reporting generation and processes.
  • Project manage key deliverables for business expansion and Government partnership engagement & growth.
  • Assist with the growth and management of THRIVE Canada eco-system partners.
  • Lead in the execution of THRIVE Canada events.

·Responsible for promoting Canadian programs (Studio, Academy, Accelerator) – working with Thrive Marketing & Programs team.

·Work with program managers and eco-system partners to ensure a full pipeline of program participants

  • Support start-ups in THRIVE Canada portfolio by leveraging opportunities to engage with corporate clients and partners
  • Support federal & provincial grant processes and deliverables.
  • Grow and manage THRIVE Canada co-marketing partners (nationally).


Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of project/program management or research & development experience
  • Self-starter with strong initiative and work ethic
  • Excellent communication skills, both in written, verbal and presentation
  • Thrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Detail orientated with strong organisational skills.
  • 3-5 years of commercial experience in agriculture, food, tech or related industry preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or agribusiness; (Masters Degree preferred)
  • Familiarity with the venture capital industry and experience working with or for startups preferable
