Parts Expert

Contract Position - 6 months with the possibility for an extension

This is a contract position is for 6 months with the possibility of extension.

A Day In The Life

In the role of Parts Expert, the primary responsibility is selling the right parts to customers in a professional and timely manner, regardless of their geographic location. Effective service is achieved by quickly and accurately assessing the customer's needs, researching, ordering, and ensuring delivery of the required parts. As the face of the Company, a Parts Expert plays a key role as they deliver professionalism, competence, and care that the customer experiences firsthand in person and via telephone calls and emails.

Responsibilities

• Other duties as assigned.
• Accurately processes customer purchase orders.
• Maintains strong relationships with customers and manufacturers.
• Follows up with customers to discuss the status and progress of purchase orders and parts research.
• Receives and counts incoming parts.
• Manages all inbound/outbound calls in a courteous, customer-oriented manner.
• Listens to and understands customer needs and must be able to provide verbal and written quotes.
• Conducts parts research.
• Assists walk in customers, assisting with researching/processing of orders and parts picking from warehouse.
• Processes customer payments.
• Packs orders ensuring that all items are correct, to ensure that orders arrive to customer undamaged.

What You Bring

• Excellent customer service and communication skills, accountable and self-driven
• Previous experience in a role that involved parts and/or online and catalog research, and hands-on experience working with equipment and/or machinery is an asset
• High school level education or equivalent
• Hands on experience working with equipment and/or machinery would be an asset
• 3 to 5 years of customer service experience
• Previous experience in shipping and receiving would be an asset
