A Day In The Life

In the role of Parts Advisor, the primary responsibility is maintaining positive relationships with service technicians, service team and manufacturers for parts identification, creating estimates, and problem solving. The parts technical specialist must thrive in an extremely fast-paced work environment with high deliverables. In-person customer service for parts counter sales may also be involved.

Responsibilities

• Listens to and understands customer needs and provides quotes.
• Liaises with service technicians and manufacturers for technical support calls.
• Sources parts from various sources.
• Provides regular, timely communication with customer to maximize conversion rate.
• Verifies and update's accurate part information for customer accounts.
• Issues purchase orders for material and part pick-ups from local suppliers.
• Engages with technician group to determine the required parts for service orders.
• Researches part manufacturers' resources to identify commercial food equipment parts to better assist customers.
• Generates estimates for technician group.

What You Bring

• Strong time management, organization and multitasking abilities
• Ability to quickly learn new ERP systems
• Ability to keep information confidential
• Technically savvy with the ability to read manufacturer manuals and identify parts via online catalog
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability and proficiency in MS Office suite of applications
• Bilingual in English and French is an asset
• Ability to work in a high pressure, fast-paced environment with precise attention to detail
• High school graduation or equivalent required
• Minimum 50 wpm
• Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience
