THE OPPORTUNITY

TechInsights is seeking an experienced Partner Manager to join our team in our Ottawa office. The Partner Manager will report to the SVP, Platform, and will work closely with the Software team to ensure that external development teams offered by approved vendors are meeting the needs of the organization.

The Partner Manager will own the relationship with all external development vendors, from vendor identification, to contract negotiation, to performance monitoring. They will be supported with KPIs from the Software team, and the Partner Manager will be key in maintaining the performance and cost-effectiveness of our vendors.

What You Will Do

• Write SOWs for vendors, and structure agreements with vendors to suit the desired engagement model(s).
• Define, monitor, and improve performance metrics for vendor teams.
• Gather requirements that drive engaging new vendors, identify vendors meeting these requirements, and screening vendors.
• Assist the Software team in defining budgets for vendor team engagement.
• Manage and build the business relationship with the vendor, using it as leverage to drive high performance, leveraging input from Software.
• Strengthen the efficiency of delivery of the vendor by ensuring alignment between the Software team and the external vendors.

What You Have

• Post-secondary education in business or a similar field.
• Knowledge of software development and projects considered an asset.
• 5+ years in a similar role.
• Strong critical thinking skills including the ability to recognize underlying issues and implications of decisions or courses of action.
• Ability to set and manage commitments.
• Expertise with tools such as Excel, JIRA, Clockify (or comparable tools).
• A bias for action and iteration.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Well-organized with strong attention to detail.
