We are actively seeking a data scientist with a strong background in operations research (OR) to join our versatile team, working closely with business strategists and AI experts. The right candidate will have a profound knowledge of operations research methods., along with Experience with machine learning (ML) techniques, business processes and the technology sector are preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Use statistical and machine learning models to generate impactful predictions from data.
- Gather, preprocess, and validate data from varied sources to ensure quality inputs into models.
- Utilize linear programming, mixed-integer programming, and other optimization techniques to drive business decisions.
- Craft compelling narratives and presentations based on model outputs for our esteemed clients.
- Interpret complex datasets to identify business trends, constraints, and objectives.
- Develop intuitive visualizations and reports to communicate insights and proposed solutions to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with OR & ML project leads to design, implement, and refine optimization models and simulation algorithms.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to capture business requirements, translating them into actionable OR models.
Qualifications:
- Adept at using both deterministic and stochastic models to inform business strategies.
- Previous experience with machine learning models & techniques or strong willingness to learn.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Matplotlib, Plotly, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in optimization and simulation techniques.
- Proficiency in optimization tools and platforms (e.g., CPLEX, Gurobi, Python with PuLP or similar).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Exceptional capability to articulate complex OR concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills complemented by meticulous attention to detail.
