New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Data Analyst to help our client with a group of complementary strategic initiatives with the goal of digitally connecting healthcare systems.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing project proposals and change requests to verify that appropriate details such as the applicable standard terms and conditions are captured in accordance with client standards / templates, and any wording / content inconsistencies are identified and clarified.
• Monitoring implementation of new and revised application lists within project databases and applications and takes action to correct errors within system and reports.
• Developing and documenting Project Services business processes, policies, procedures, and reference materials by designing forms, preparing flow charts and detailing specifications.
• Monitoring departmental inboxes for report and project requests, as well as processing time adjustment requests to capture time spent on projects.
• Gathering and analyzing information for project proposals and change requests based on business specifications, including IT infrastructure hardware costing information, and provides analysis and reporting to executive.
• Developing and maintaining complex datasets by combining data, writing queries and codes to automate reports and dashboards; tests, modifies and maintains programs; ensures compliance within department resourcing.

Requirements:

• Experience manipulating and compiling large databases
• Experience working within the BC Health Sector is preferred
• Advanced or Expert skills in one or more of the following: SAS, R, SQL, Python
• Experience writing programs and queries to manipulate and compile large health datasets and analyze the date accordingly
• Master’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or related discipline
• Experience working with health administrative data and data warehouses
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst
