Description
The Service Operations Manager will be responsible for the management of all support functions for the Aurora Branch.
The Service Operations Manager is the functional owner for all quotations and maintenance contracts developed by the Service Team and works with Service Administrator(s) and Coordinator(s) to improve the cycle time from work execution through to customer billing. In addition, the Service Operations Manager will be responsible for the effective deployment, start-up, decommissioning and return of the rental fleet.
They contribute to the execution of initiatives that enhance the profitability of the Service business unit at the Aurora branch as well as the quality of service that is being provided to our customers. They execute against work plans and support service technicians to ensure customer needs are met, work is delegated effectively, and technicians work safely.
Responsibilities And Duties
  • Other duties as assigned by the Regional General Manager AUR.
  • Rollout initiatives relating to continuous improvement, change management, sales and gross margins to the benefit of our clients and the company;
  • Lead all month end activities related to Aurora Service to ensure financial integrity.
  • Lead in the development of all Aurora Service quotations, sales funnel management, and service agreements;
  • Lead and manage the A/R collection process on behalf of the Service Team.
  • Engage with the sales, sourcing and manufacturing teams to support growth and maintain collaborative relationships and;
  • Follow established processes to ensure the Rentals fleet is effectively managed during prep, delivery, start-up, decommissioning and return phases;
  • Engage and listen to the Service Team; identify and make recommendations to the Service Managers on opportunities to improve technician safety, improve customer satisfaction, increase sales, and improve profitability;
  • Manage and develop direct reports to achieve deliverables,
Requirements
  • Knowledge of margins and pricing strategy.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field.
  • Knowledge of industrial boiler systems.
  • 3 – 7 years in a Service related operations role
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
