Who are we looking for?


We are seeking Operation Specialist to monitor day-to-day plant operation, ensure plant safety & reliability, provide input for daily operations, and guide operations for implementing best practices, troubleshooting and debottlenecking plant unit and related equipment. Coordinate technical services, maintenance activities, unit shut down and start-up.


Qualifications


  • Minimum 3 Years' Experience as Shift Supervisor in industrial operations (Fertilizer / Petrochemicals / Oil / Gas Industries)
  • Sustained performance - Minimum "Strong" & above.
  • High School with/or Technical Diploma or Higher.
  • Awareness on SHEMS / QMS / EMS & OHSAS(Responsible Care)
  • Awareness & Compliance of Safety procedures / SHEM Standard.


Duties and responsibilities


  • Follow up e-MOC. Implement PHA, safety audit, RCA, Process improvement & technical recommendation.
  • Participate in department risk assessment; Coordinate implementation of controls from results of hazard analysis.
  • Full aware of EHSS critical equipments & its maintenance strategy
  • Reads log book, handover log and identifies items requiring follow-up.
  • Full aware of the consequences / effects of parameters.
  • Receives priority jobs from the Manager such as critical activities in Control Room & Field
  • Collects information of all SHE incidents, Key plant operational problems / concerns and plant & equipment performance parameters from Shift Supervisor.
  • Conduct daily routine checks of the unit for visual inspection and communicate findings and abnormalities to the Shift Supervisor
  • Completes his assigned tasks in specified time.
  • Fully familiar with his area High Potential Hazards, Emergency Response strategies.
  • Reports all Near Misses & Accidents.
  • Checking the plant prior to start-up for conformance to specifications, drawing, design intent, safety and operability (PSER) Prepare change lists and actions lists as per PSER
  • Proposes changes to operating practices and procedures without any failure for the betterment and speedy completion of work.
  • Develop, follow up and monitor the performance of operation staff and ensure compliance to JQP, IDP, ERT & SHEM training.
  • Monitor & keep tracking SAFER interim & mitigation action plans
  • Fully responsible for equipment performance monitoring & do effective communication to schedule break down equipment's.
  • Ensures Plant Operating Parameters, process analyzers & plant performance within specified limits as per SOP, instructions & Guidelines. Follows up corrective actions during any deviations and troubleshoot during emergencies.
  • Job Knowledge :
  • Reviews unit-operating data (Shift Supervisor Log, Operators Log and Computer Screen Displays).
  • Be aware of all MSDS, SHEM in general and be fully familiar with specific SHEM responsibilities related to the position and ensures full compliance to SHEM Systems, Practices and Procedures.
  • Review notification status with Engineering and Maintenance. Plan the required engineering input. Follow up and track work orders in SAP. Plan and coordinate all activities, prior to, during and after unit shutdowns.
  • Receives EHSS Equipment PM Plan and submits Risk Assessments accordingly to comply EHSS Bypass.
  • Routine Job Compliance :
  • Conduct training of operating personnel in relation to new equipment installation and process control modifications.
  • Manage work in demanding situations during plant Turnaround, Start-up & Shut down, emergencies, maintain a steady operational state operation or any other operational assignments.
  • Monitor and Analyze DCS alarms for corrective actions & optimization
  • DCS Change Request (OCR) review, initiation, follow up with assigned contact Engineers on DCR evaluation & Manager Approval. Comment on input speclic to safety and production.
  • Report clear information about Abnormalities of plant operational parameters, analysis results and correctives actions to Manager.
  • Coordinate start-up and shutdown of the plant by following standard operating procedures.
  • Cover Shift Supervisor / Manager during man power shortage or plant requirements.
  • To support operators and shift supervisors to operate plants as per the standards SOP and SHEM procedure to produce efficiency at high quality level and as per the production plan and targets.
  • Assists analyzing any problem with supervisor for actions
  • Ensures SHEM procedures compliance in his area with right tools & equipment to perform their task safely.
  • Drive continuous improvement methodology and principles within the area to improve operational performance.
  • Compliance with EHSS & SHEMS Procedure :
  • Minimize all environmental emissions and proper disposal of generated waste.
  • Ensure daily capacity utilization & production budget achievement
  • Monitors all EHSS bypass dunng normal Operations and plant upset Improve & monitor plant sustainability
  • Conduct daily meeting with Plant Site Supervisors to feedback critical and responsible activities. Share management areas of concern on important issues and, ensure necessary directives are issued at the end of daily meetings to realize Company goals.
  • Troubleshooting and tracking for any plant abnormal condition or low productivity.
  • Comply with SAFCO policies and SHEMS procedures, quality procedures and SAFCO ISO certified standards.
  • Promote Good manufacturing processes (GMP's) and standards within the operations of plants.
  • Operation Team Communication :
  • Corrective action for process parameters deviations, problems Troubleshooting and develop & initiate solutions for operational issues affecting production.
  • Follows up plant parameters to have best performance & efficiency of Units
  • Takes round in field to ensure Excellent Housekeeping, waste control & management.


Quality Knowledge :


  • Complies with the SAFCO Quality policy, 1SO-9001 & ISO 14001 procedures, procedure, SOP, checklist, data log sheets etc. Knows the significance of on-line process analyzers and Lab result on product quality and take corrective action accordingly.
  • Carries out ISO-9001 internal audits, as assigned, and develops plans for "Corrective Action Reports'. Follow up on completion of


corrective actions.


  • Monitor various unit process samples results from Lab (QA) results on a routine basis in relation to target specification and confirms compliance.
  • Discusses about Abnormalities of plant operational parameters, quality upsets and analysis results with Shift supervisor and related corrective actions.

2.2 Client Face to Face interview: This interview will happen only if your resume is approved by our client, we cannot guarantee the time our client will take to approve your resume, but it should take less than a week.
