Job Description

Title: Ocean Freight Coordinator

Location: Toronto Downtown, ON, CANADA

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Ocean Freight Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in coordinating ocean freight shipments, a strong understanding of the shipping industry, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Resolving any issues that may arise during the shipment process, such as delays or damaged goods
  • Providing excellent customer service and support to all stakeholders involved in the shipment process
  • Coordinating with customs brokers to ensure necessary customs clearance is obtained
  • Communicating with vendors and customers to ensure accurate and up-to-date shipment details
  • Coordinating and scheduling shipments with shipping lines and freight forwarders
  • Tracking shipments and providing updates to customers and vendors as needed
  • Staying up-to-date on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
  • Preparing shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists
  • Managing relationships with carriers and vendors to ensure shipments are delivered on time and at the best possible cost

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in Ukrainian/Polish language is advantage
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong understanding of the ocean freight industry and shipping regulations
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in ocean freight coordination
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and shipping software/ INTTRA
