We are looking for a Product Coordinator - Parts and Kits for our Peterborough, Ontario site.
BWXT NEC's Fuel Handling and Engineered Solutions group is involved in the design, manufacture, development, testing, parts supply, and service of on-power refueling, reactor maintenance, and nuclear medicine delivery tooling sold around the world. We are the original designer of the automated systems that allow 24/7 on power refueling of CANDU reactors and aim to solve some of the Nuclear Industry’s most challenging problems. Today, BWXT’s equipment is being used in most of the nuclear power plants in Canada and is critical to delivering carbon free energy production and lifesaving medical isotopes.

Job Summary
The Product Coordinator will support the Kit Program which involves the strategic procurement and supply of spare parts for various types of equiment in the nuclear industry.
Responsibilities
Monitor and Control the stocking of each kit
  • Finalize the pricing of parts being supplied
  • Advocate for Engineering support as required
  • Follow proper program closure process
  • Manage changes to the customer schedule and set up key milestones. Adjust dates in various tools/databases
  • Where required, assist in monitoring program health and performance indicators
  • Coordinate Lesson’s Learned reviews following shipments
  • Work with Strategic Procurement Specialist, Lead Manufacturing Engineer – Kits, Quality, and Product Control Specialist to ensure schedule integrity and quality
  • Customer reporting as required by the contract
  • Participate in coordinating / producing cost or schedule recovery / mitigation plans, as well as monitoring scope creep throughout the program life cycle
  • Schedule and lead Internal team meetings
  • Job set-up / budget creation supporting the Product Owner, as required
  • Proactively identify program risk, analyze solutions, and take decisive action to resolve issues
  • Ongoing budget maintenance
  • Issue resolution for problem parts (SNAG LIST)
Customer Engagement
  • Provide the customer with all documentation upon shipment
  • Participate in customer onsite meetings including the preparation of presentation material, and preparing and distributing minutes
  • Submit all technical documentation to customer, as well as coordinate with internal departments for signoffs and support
  • Support presentations or in some cases present and report on project status, metrics, issues, risks, and program resource needs
  • Coordinate the return of cabinets from site for restocking at BWXT
Continious Improvement
  • Identify and champion opportunities for internal improvement on an annual basis
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience with Primavera 6 is an asset but not a requirement
  • Experience in Nuclear is an asset but not a requirement
  • Very strong analytical skills (Excel)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent from an accredited university, or, College Diploma in Business Administration with sufficient experience
