Job Posting Description:
Director, eCommerce Product Management
The Director, Digital Product Management leads the overall vision, strategy roadmap and prioritization for LCBO’s eCommerce and mCommerce offerings across both B2C and B2B businesses, including multiple B2B business channels. This role combines business strategy, data/analytics, user experience, customer feedback and technology to develop a seamless unified customer experience over an online revenue base in excess of 500 million dollars. They will lead a team of product managers, business analysts and other UX related roles to deliver on these eCommerce and omni-channel objectives that create seamless and consistent LCBO customer experiences across channels. Their proven leadership experience shows their ability to get results, both at a strategic and tactical level. They motivate their team to accomplish their defined goals while partnering with teams across the company to deliver new experiences for their customers.
This role is a leadership position, reporting directly to the Vice President, eCommerce.

Champion the Customer Experience:
Continuously measure, analyze and improve the performance of website features against stated business needs and contribute to a customer centric eCommerce strategy, across multiple channels, identifying key differences that need specific solutions, and where opportunities exist for cross-channel benefit. Act as a subject matter expert on customer behaviour within the organization and reduce friction and improve the path to purchase for our customers. Serves as the voice of the customer, understanding the customer's needs and communicate those to the team as well as to senior leadership across the organization.
Collaboration with Stakeholders:
Work with leadership and stakeholders to develop and maintain a short and long term eCommerce product road map for B2C and multiple B2B channels, prioritizing features based on potential impact to the business, with the ability to rationalize how best to drive ROI within the organization in terms of shared functionality, and finite resources. Work with cross organizational teams from both B2C and B2B businesses on a regular cadence to build shared roadmaps and visions and collaborate with external partners to translate customer and business needs into detailed product requirements and specifications.
Partnership with IT
Provides critical partnership with IT internally as well as external suppliers to manage the ongoing implementation of website features to ensure project milestones are met, as well as assess project risks, dependencies and resource requirements, building strong working relationships while driving the organization’s key objectives within the context of online experiences across both B2C and B2B . Develops and defends the business case for new omni channel product features, works with finance to create strong business cases, and strategics based on detailed financial models and procurement processes for developing RFP’s, RFI’s and other related activities.
Team Leadership
Builds and manages a Product Management team, helping to support their growth and removing obstacles as necessary to allow both commercial success for the organization, and continued development opportunities for team members
Strategic Initiatives
Manage internal process improvement as well as strategic initiatives. Serve as an internal resource on eCommerce user experience, product management and emerging technology in the ecosystem of omni-channel retailing.
Over the forthcoming 3 years, the successful applicant will also serve as the go-to expert and key Chief Marketing & Digital Office (CMDO) resource on a key, high-profile business and IT transformational project, potentially dedicating between 50% to 100% of typical days over this timeframe.
Requirements:
  • Experience leading 3+ enterprise-wide business transformation projects with a number of technologies and delivery experience driving desired business outcomes, identifying gaps and omissions and the agility to design solutions along the way
  • Strong proficiency in analytics tools such as Omniture/GA, CMS, testing platforms and issue/project tracking tools (e.g, JIRA or similar). Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • University Degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business, eCommerce, Human Computer Interaction, or any related field)
  • Experience operating in a retail and/or wholesale environment, with managing the customer experience for multiple customer types
  • 10 or more years working in business/IT transformational projects.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Experience with prototyping tools.
