Sr Director, Colocation Product Management

Job Summary

Reporting to the VP, Global Colocation Business, you will oversee a 10+ member, high-performing team of Product Managers. You will also lead and influence a large matrixed team throughout the organization to drive optimization in the business line. This global organization specializes in the colocation product space, our flagship offer.

Responsibility

• Owns end-to-end product launch activity including, but not limited to, requirements, messaging, sales enablement, list pricing, competitive positioning and customer feedback
• Build strong working relationships across the Product Management, Product Engineering, Customer Experience, Marketing, Sales Leadership, IT, Engineering, Operations and P&L/Country Managers to introduce new products and enhancements
• Manages global product managers and works with regional functional product teams to: 
• Lead an exceptional team of Product Managers and Directors responsible for our flagship colocation product
• Ensures visibility of the Colocation product portfolio cross functionally working towards global consistency and championing customer inspired innovation
• Manage, develop and motivate staff, including hiring, coaching, performance reviews and rewards
• Utilize matrixed leadership for regional product resources
• Oversees the execution of global product plans, in conjunction with Marketing, Product Engineering, IT and Regional Product Managers
• Manage the Colocation product portfolio and performance with a strong focus on P&L
• Serve as Product Expert on the Colocation product strategy, roadmap, business cases and overall global product requirements
• Oversees, drives and coordinates company product planning to support Engineering and Operations in ensuring delivery according to plan and budget

Qualifications

• Strong product lifecycle management skills
• Strong technical curiosity
• Product management experience gained in the IT, Networking, Cloud, or Colocation space
• Strong technical acumen
• BS/MS in a Technology field
• Proven ability to articulate a vision and strategy in a way that inspires and motivates a team
• Ability to thrive in a global, matrixed-based environment
• Strong business and industry analyst awareness
• Good analytical, problem solving and planning skills
• Deep customer-facing and market-facing experience
• Strong user and stakeholder empathy
• Culturally aware and adept at working across multiple geographies
• 15+ years or experience with a Business or Technology focus, with at least 5 years in leadership positions
• Demonstrated coaching and people management skills
• Proven ability to analyze complex business issues and identify, design and implement effective practical recommendations
• Proven project management skills
