We are looking for a Manager, Learning & Development (L&D) to help us achieve this vision, designing and delivering innovative, best-in-class learning experiences that scale as we grow. In this role, you’ll help us: uncover needs, craft and implement our L&D strategy and roadmap, and provide blended programs that emphasize experiential and social learning.

You will report to the Director of People Programs and be part of the Employee Experience team which includes HRBPs and specialists in L&D, Performance Enablement, Engagement, and Career Development. You will work with these collaborative, creative, and agile ‘Bits to integrate these programs into our overall Talent Management approach, geared to align, inspire, and enable employees to achieve objectives - both the company’s and their own. You’ll also help ensure the approach and execution of learning and development reflects our commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging. Please note travel may be required (approximately up to 10%)

This is a Remote opportunity within Canada or the US.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a people manager.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, with at least four years designing and delivering blended Professional and Leadership Development programs.
• Deep knowledge of learning and development best practices, 70/20/10 adult learning techniques, and L&D trends/best practices
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with peers, business leaders, SMEs, internal stakeholders, and vendors.

Demonstrable Experience With

• LMS administration (Docebo)
• ELearning creation tools such as Storyline 360, video editing software, etc.
• Learning needs assessment (including the design and delivery of surveys, focus groups, interviews, etc.)
• Learning evaluation and metrics
• Group facilitation and coaching

Strong Skills In

• Influence
• Communication (verbal, written, and presentation)
• Project management
• Should possess a baseline analytics capability - with a natural inclination to use data as means to inform strategy and programs, monitor and report on success, return-on-investment, etc.
• Preferred: Certified trainer in one or more the following: Five Behaviors of Team, Crucial Conversations or Radical Candor, Situational Leadership, DiSC, Clifton Strengths, ADKAR, Fierce, ATD Certifications
• Internal consulting

What You Can Expect

• Seeks out the latest research and best practices, benchmarks program effectiveness, and identifies key trends to inform strategy and programs.
• Strategy:
• Leads the development, execution, and ongoing evaluation of 1Password's Learning & Development strategy to provide enterprise learning programs, tools, and resources aligned with company business strategy and values.

Collaboration

• Serves as an L&D SME and internal consultant to functional leaders and L&D professionals on effective training strategies for their programs.
• Partners closely with Director, People Programs and the HRBP team to align Talent Review, Succession, and engagement inputs to drive learning strategy.
• Works closely with HRBPs, business leaders, functional L&D professionals, SME's, and internal stakeholders to assess and translate business needs into impactful learning experiences and to support employee participation.

Program Delivery

• Applies evidence-based practices in adult learning, universal design principles, accessibility, inclusive design, and DEIB into programs
• Leads the planning, design and delivery of blended leader and employee development programs and journeys using different learning mediums (virtual instructor led learning, e-learning, experiential, social learnings) to drive desired outcomes.
• Manages annual L&D budget and expenses within the budgetary guidelines.
• Identifies and manages external vendors to support training content and delivery needs
• Responsible for overall management of the Learning Management System (Docebo), including oversight of LMS administration, reporting, driving increases in utilization, and providing user support.
• Develops and executes a comprehensive communication strategy to market programs and events.

Metrics/KPIs

• Embeds feedback systems and rigorous evaluation methods into learning programs to gauge their impact on individual growth and organizational impact.
• Develops a learning dashboard and metrics, ensuring the effectiveness of all learning and continuously seeking opportunities to improve.

United States-based roles only: The Annual salary for this role is between $115,000USD and $155,000USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs. All employees are owners of 1Password and receive an equity grant as part of their total package. At 1Password, we approach each individual's compensation with a promise of fair market value and internal equity commensurate with experience and specific skill set.
