You independently operate and maintain at least one process, equipment or systems following autonomous maintenance (AM) standards and use your technical skills to improve line and/or system performance to meet business needs.

You are a key ingredient in changing how the world snacks. With coaching, you will operate and maintain equipment to deliver on our safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets. You will use execute all standard work processes on your equipment using AM (autonomous maintenance) and PM (progressive maintenance) standards and ensure that safety processes are observed, and that quality assurance activities are performed. You will understand the losses in their area and equipment and report them.

More About This Role


Maintenance Planner responsibilities:


  • Updates weekly KPI for Maintenance activities as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Work in conjunction with the Engineering department with regards to machine modifications and the installation of new machinery and production systems.
  • Works with Maintenance team ensuring that all spares are stocked at appropriate levels
  • Responsible for ensuring products are produced in accordance with GMPs and SOPs, and for reporting all quality issues to the Quality Supervisor immediately
  • Work with the PM maintenance crews primarily to prioritize work and monitor timely completion on planned and /unplanned activities.
  • Manages the life of Work Requests, Work Orders; use feedback to update standard work, monitor job completion, ensure correct closing codes are applied to completed work orders
  • Responsible for an active and effective safety program ensuring compliance to governmental and corporate requirements.
  • Actively participates and supports and ensures compliance with all safety initiatives within the manufacturing location, and establishes focus and priorities at the plant level, including reduction in material variances and improved cycle counting process.
  • Manages the preventive maintenance program planning and scheduling , PM content updates and revision
  • Updates job plan BOMs to reflect changes in materials
  • Maintains the equipment hierarchy and criticality database in the CMMS system
  • Ensures correct parts and consumables are included in all job plans
  • Promote practice of Root Cause Analysis amongst the Maintenance crew and operators to implement long term solutions to breakdowns and recurring issues
  • Provide input in budget development for Maintenance
  • Develops the master plans for shutdowns, outages and turnarounds
  • Work closely with operating colleagues to ensure that high quality products are produced while maintaining budgeted efficiencies.
  • Share questions, learning’s and best practices with fellow mechanics in order to contribute to machine efficiency levels and decreasing machine breakdowns and downtime.
  • Completes job plans with manpower scheduling and parts verification per company standards


Experience/Education


  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Manufacturing environment in a Maintenance related role
  • Knowledge of SAP Maintenance system is an asset
  • High School Diploma Required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office – Outlook, Word, Excel and Power point required
  • Understanding Lean Six Sigma Methods and processes is an asset
