Overview
BCLC’s two offices are located on the traditional, ancestral and unceded lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam Indian Band), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Peoples in Vancouver and the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc territory, situated within the Secwépemc Nation in Kamloops. Our Operations Division manages both provincial & national lottery games as well as instant lotteries through over 3000 retail partners across the province. We provide the gaming technology and set standards, policies & procedures across 37 casino properties in BC, ensuring a high standard of security and integrity.
We also provide online gambling through Playnow.com and our Lotto app including lottery, sports betting, Bingo, Keno, online slots or online casino games and Live Dealer table games where players can choose the online version of their favorite games while connecting with others across the province. Job Summary
The Logistics Coordinator manages all aspects of corporate domestic and international logistics. This role ensures accurate inventory control, inspection of received goods, management of inbound and outbound shipments, and recycling and destruction of end of life goods. The Logistics Coordinator proactively develops, maintains and manages relevant working relationships with internal stakeholders and applicable external stakeholders including retailers, customs brokers, and government customs agencies to ensure the effective track & trace procedures and the completion of logistics documentation by using industry standard approaches and tools.
Key Accountabilities
  • Processes internal order requests and liaise with commercial couriers for general queries, quote inquiries and scheduling. Provides review and verification of all logistics invoices.
  • Liaises with internal and external stakeholders and vendors/suppliers to effectively monitor and control all corporate merchandise, critical supply items and product inventory levels while maintaining optimal warehouse utilization.
  • Proactively develops, maintains, and manages collaborative and functional relationships with all stakeholders including public/players, vendors/suppliers, service providers and government customs agencies and customs brokers internationally to ensure the integrity of logistics operations.
  • Participates in and provides input into RFPs, contractual agreements, and vendor performance management assessments resulting in the completion of vendor improvement discussions.
  • Manages the process and documentation related to the sale, recycling and destruction of all corporate end-of-life goods following Electronics Program Recycling Association (EPRA) and government agency requirements.
  • Completes safety inspections and work order approvals of all warehouse equipment including the coordination of external stakeholders to complete regularly schedule maintenance.
  • Ensures the resolution of logistics related issues by utilizing effective track & trace procedures to analyze and troubleshoot missing, incorrect, or stolen shipments to Lottery retailers including coordination of lottery ticket stock adjustments to Corporate Finance and reporting to Corporate Security & Compliance.
  • Leads and coordinates all corporate logistics requirements including the movement of critical supply items to maintain daily operations, maintain gaming equipment, and to support all corporate and strategic projects and initiatives.
  • Coordinates, monitors and manages the packaging and distribution of merchandise required for various project initiatives and Special Events across the Province.
  • Processes inventory stock transfer and purchase orders to deliver equipment and marketing material to site. Collaborates with Inventory Management to resolve discrepancies.
  • Responsible for loading and unloading goods, visual inspection and verifying quality of goods against purchase orders. Documents logistic details into internal systems, and places goods in designated areas.
  • Maintains and completes goods receipt entry and movement within SAP ensuring data-entry transactional accuracy of logistical functions are completed as per predetermined service level agreements.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • Forklift and warehouse materials handling equipment certification is an asset;
  • 2 years' experience in shipping/receiving, warehousing and inventory control;
  • Post-secondary courses in supply management;
  • APICS (CPIM, CLTD), CITT (CCLP) or relevant certification preferred;
Technical Requirements
  • Thorough knowledge of warehousing/distribution procedures;
  • Good knowledge of computerized shipping/receiving and inventory control systems
  • Good understanding of customs documentation and incoterms
  • Ability to safely use materials handling equipment, including forklift and electric pallet jacks and hand/furniture trucks.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize projects within established deadlines;
  • Knowledge of Electronics Products Recycling Association (EPRA) requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Working Conditions
  • Good knowledge and experience of courier networks like Purolator, UPS, FedEx
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with little supervision
  • Knowledge of safe work practices as they relate to warehouse operations and equipment;
  • Must be able to safely lift and move heavy packages (up to 50 lbs.) and equipment;
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and Word
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Good knowledge of warehouse equipment, forklift and hand jack etc.;
