Job Description

Wellness Extract is a family-owned small business based in Abbotsford, BC. We specialize in science-based healthcare supplements and our business is primarily on online marketplaces. Our team is looking for a passionate team member who will fit in well with our team and company culture.


Location:

Work from Office - Abbotsford

Office Address - 30508 Great Northern Ave, Unit No. 1A

Workday timings:

Part Time (Full Time opportunity available) | Mon - Fri

Job Responsibilities:

This position requires a customer service focused attitude, multitasking skills and a team player approach. Organization and time management skills are mandatory.


Qualifications and Requirements:

• Technical education and aptitude

• Experience with Microsoft Office

• Motivated and willing to learn new concepts and technologies

• Well-organized and possess the capability to prioritize workload

• Excels at managing challenging logistical issues

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Strong verbal, written and comprehension skills in English

• Good communication skills for clear and effective interactions

• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

• Knowledge of import/export laws and customs regulations is an advantage.



Key Responsibilities:


Shipment Management: Coordinate and track the movement of goods, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. This involves planning and arranging transportation, selecting carriers, and monitoring shipment progress to address any delays or issues that may arise.


Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels and maintain accurate records of stock, ensuring adequate supplies are available to meet demand. Collaborate with warehouses and suppliers to manage inventory and optimize stock levels.


Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and maintain all necessary shipping and customs documentation, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations. Handle import/export paperwork and facilitate smooth customs clearance processes.


Communication: Act as a liaison between suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to ensure effective communication and coordination. Keep all stakeholders informed of shipment statuses, delays, and any other logistics-related information.


Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve any logistics-related issues promptly to minimize disruptions in the supply chain. Proactively address potential challenges and implement corrective actions.


Risk Management: Assess and mitigate potential risks in the transportation and logistics processes, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.


Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance logistics efficiency and reduce operational costs. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.



Education & Experience Preferences:

● BA/BS University degree with a concentration in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is typically preferred.

● One to three years of logistics experience preferred

● Familiarity with office software and phone systems


Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay
  • Bonus pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Abbotsford, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work

Experience:

  • Logistical experience is preferable.


Salary: $16.75 - $18
