Join our Transportation team as a Logistics Coordinator - Router in Kitchener


Work Schedule:


Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, 10:00 am - 8:30 pm + alternating Saturday support.



Position Summary:
  • The Logistics Coordinator – Router will execute daily inbound / outbound route planning functions focusing on accuracy, on-time delivery performance, equipment utilization, while maintaining overall cost effectiveness and optimized business performance. This position is required to maintain accurate and concise reporting of daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Make real-time decisions and manage the volatility of Foodservice while maintaining business performance standards and customer service levels.
  • Perform daily standard route maintenance exercises by reviewing recent history and applying adjustments as needed.
  • Review new customer addition of change requests to the delivery network, provide feedback and recommendations/approvals to sales team.
  • Handle, manage and organize our transportation labour & resources on a daily basis.
  • Execute efficient routing plans for inbound/outbound route network.
  • Maintain positive internal and external relationships with all major operational entities including supply chain, warehousing, sales, delivery drivers, owner operators, outside carriers, and customer relations.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience within a Transportation/logistics environment experience preferred
  • Advanced computer skills are required Excel, Word, Outlook required.
  • Previous experience utilizing route-planning tools considered an asset.
  • Ability to communicate with external and internal clients in a professional manner.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills required.
  • Flexible to support the shift requirements as assigned.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and support fellow team members.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Good problem solving skills and sense of initiative to support company goals.
