Logistics Coordinator

Overseeing and facilitating the supply chain operations of our company, you will be the one to coordinate personnel and process to achieve the effective distribution of goods. The goal is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency. This is a collaborative team environment, and we are all responsible for the overall customer and carrier experience and have responsibility for all duties listed below.

Primary Responsibilities of Logistics Coordinator:

• Ensure carriers are qualified in Truckmate and RMIS
• Collaborate with co-workers to provide solutions to customers
• Identify areas of weakness
• Ensure all POD’s on the pod missing report, that is sent daily, are collected from carrier within 48 hours of receiving the list
• Grow and maintain existing and new carrier or customer relationships
• Negotiate freight rates with carriers for domestic and cross-border TL and LTL
• Respond to spot quotes and customer requests within expected timeline
• Perform work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Follow up with customers for additional lanes
• Be available after hours to assist with resolving issues
• Organize the Spot email inbox to ensure all coworkers have visibility to the appropriate emails
• Source carriers
• Transition spot quote customers into dedicated customers
• Improve on win % on a daily basis
• Utilize all aspects of Greenscreens: carrier bids, customer quotes, lane research

Secondary Responsibilities of Logistics Coordinator:

• Grow and develop existing carrier and customer relationships
• Ensure carriers are qualified in Truckmate and RMIS
• Additional duties as required
• Perform work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
• Vacation / Sick time – Collaborate with peers and management to ensure proper
• Responsible to obtain all accessorial approvals and complete loads within 48 hours of occurrence
• Ensure the highest level of customer experience is provided
• Compliancy for customer volume expectations
• Responsible for margin improvement through various methods
• All staff will be cross trained on all dedicated accounts
• Track & trace
• Source carriers
• Perform all relevant aspects of Greenscreens including rates and customer quotes
• Ensure TMS contains current and complete data
• When volumes fall short investigate why and advise management
• Liaise with customers and carriers to facilitate their pickup and delivery appointments
• Follow up on delivery delays or security issues
• Assist and collaborate with the rate and pricing team when required
• Orders are to be closes within 12 hours of delivery
• Coverage for all accounts in your absence including vacation and sick time
• Ensure all audit requirements are completed and scanned in to TMS prior to dispatching loads
• Manage and coordinate daily shipments with carriers and customers
• Negotiate freight rates with carriers for domestic and cross-border TL and LTL
• Respond quickly to customer requests

Qualifications:

• Ability to make quick decisions
• Experience in cross boarder shipping, full-truckload as well as less-than-truckload
• Ability to build rapport with both carriers and customers
• Experience in third-party logistics or brokerage role
• Effective teamwork skills
• Strong communication, customer service and computer skills
• Ability to effectively handle multiple conflicting priorities
• Strong attention to details
• Ability to manage time effectively and multi-task
