WHAT?

• Develop, implement, and support an agility-based architecture practice at ALDO to influence and guide prioritized project and product strategy formulation.

HOW?

• Lead, facilitate, and implement an agility-based architecture framework who is underpinned by a community of practice (CoP), minimum viable architecture (MVA) concepts and distributed decision rights.
• Orient and support the IT architecture capabilities at the enterprise and solution levels.
• Interfacing with IT and business functions for technology strategy development and solution positioning purposes.
• Find the right balance between strategic and tactical focus.

THE LEAD ARCHITECT MISSION
Leader and Facilitator

• Provide overall direction and guidance for definition of an IT architecture practice to effectively support the corporate business and IT strategies
• Through the CoP, define, communicate, and promote ALDO’s minimum viable architecture (MVA) processes, principles, guidelines, patterns, reference models, and tools
• Shape, facilitate, and implement a right-sized agile architecture framework to govern, define and assess the impact of new and ongoing technology investment on the business and IT estate
• Lead and support an architecture community of practice (CoP) to guide and help agile teams, IT and business stakeholders to align with the overall enterprise architecture governance and assurance

Action-Oriented Enabler

• Ensure technological and market trends scanning with IT and business partners, identify opportunities for innovative business technology solutions, develop recommendations and solution concepts for new investments based on priorities
• Execute and evolve the IT enterprise architecture and facilitate the establishment of architectural orientations focused on priorities (projects and products)
• Guide and participate in the approval process of the architecture solutions, roadmaps, integration services, and models developed and maintained by IT teams, ensuring that they are consistent with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision
• Liaise closely with solution architects and internal/external project teams to support the definition of elegant, scalable, and sustainable business technology solutions that fulfill the business requirements, using the appropriate technologies, while adhering to ALDO’s best practices, and context
• Facilitate the establishment and execution of roadmaps and vision of architecture at business, data, application, and technology levels

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

• You are Bilingual, perfect because it will be required for you to engage with local and global trading partners.
• You have a pragmatic approach of leading the definition of architecture orientations and solutions, with a proven record in technology strategy planning and delivery
• It is a plus if you have a business knowledge of one or more business domain specific to retail and wholesale industry
• Working with multidisciplinary teams composed of internal and external partners in a fast-paced environment is a habit for you
• Your ability to communicate conceptual and technical information effectively and efficiently to both technical and business management and staff is well recognized
• Industry enterprise architecture frameworks, including TOGAF, ITIL, Zachman are known
• You master typical architecture concepts, principles, techniques, activities, deliverables, and tools, including creation and presentation of roadmaps, business capabilities, business cases, solutions, and models
• You have a university degree in a related field, or the equivalent experience demonstrated by progressive responsibilities and results
• Knowledge and application of Agile methodologies and frameworks (SAFe, Kanban, Scrum) is not new to you
• You know and have applied cost benefit analysis and project risk assessment techniques
• You speak and write like a pro
• You have been an architect in a complex organization or solution provider including a mix of IT solution architecture and enterprise architecture disciplines for a minimum of 8 years
