About The Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Systems Support person to join our Information Systems & Telecommunications team. Reporting to the Manager of Information Technology and Support Services, the successful candidate will deliver first level support, innovative customer focused service by analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving computer hardware/software and application related issues to hospital staff, physician, and volunteers in an efficient and courteous manner.

Hours of work are primarily Monday to Friday, day shift.

You Will Also Need To Have

To qualify for the role, you will must have a high school diploma and preferably a college diploma, with a focus on computer, networking, help desk, etc.

• Ability to work in a manner that exemplifies the core values of the West Parry Sound Health Centre: Compassion, Accountability, Rights and Responsibilities, Excellence, and Safety.
• Minimum 1 years of experience in IT service desk.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with VMware software.
• Experience with Meditech and other healthcare information applications is an asset.
• Excellent time management and organization skills.
• Demonstrated satisfactory attendance levels, work performance, disciplinary history, and positive work references.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience in deployment, optimization and troubleshooting of wired and wireless infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of computer networking and cabling infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of computer systems, peripherals, and communications equipment.
• Positive attitude along with solid communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft O365 and Azure, MS Office, Teams, SharePoint.
• Working knowledge of managing and administering Active Directory.
• Valid driver's license.
