We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Software Quality Assurance Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will contribute to ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through comprehensive testing methodologies.

You will be responsible for testing Live Event Ticketing platforms in an Agile environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold the highest standards of software excellence. Your dedication to learning and willingness to explore automated testing will contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing processes.

As a Junior Qa Analyst, You Will

• Participate in the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
• Report and document defects with clear and replicable steps for easy issue resolution.
• Assist in maintaining and updating test documentation, including test plans and test cases.
• Participate in Scrum meetings, providing insights from a QA perspective to enhance overall product quality.
• Perform functional, regression, and sanity testing to ensure the reliability and stability of the application.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a clear understanding of testing goals and outcomes.
• Create and execute manual test cases to identify software defects and inconsistencies.
• Contribute to the identification and implementation of test automation opportunities.
• Validate data integrity, system compatibility, and synchronization across integrated components.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to understand software requirements and functionality.

Office Information

Leap Event Technology is a 100% remote-friendly company. However, we do offer the option of working in the office for employees located in Montréal (CAN), Pittsburgh (U.S.), Dallas (U.S.), Sydney (AUS). All of our offices are stocked with snacks and drinks and we provide a free lunch every week. We offer a monthly travel stipend, and even host the occasional themed party and happy hour!

If you don’t live near an office but happen to be visiting nearby, you can work from the office for as long as you need.

Additional Information

Leap Event Technology requires all Event Operations employees and contractors who will be representing the company at a client event to be fully vaccinated at least two weeks prior to attending. Exemptions are determined by the event organizer. Employees are not required to be fully vaccinated to be present at an office facility.

Experience & Skills

• Familiarity with manual testing techniques and processes.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings.
• Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies.
• Experience with testing event ticketing and fan experiential products would be a valuable asset
• Strong passion for software quality assurance and a keen eye for detail.
• Bachelor's degree in a technology discipline or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Prior exposure to testing tools and technologies is advantageous.
• While handling multiple tasks.
• Basic understanding of software testing concepts and methodologies.
• Basic understanding of programming concepts and scripting languages.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to automated testing practices..
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Bonus Points

• Exposure to Selenium or any other test automation tools.
• Passion for Live Events
• Experience with testing tools such as TestRail for test case management, and Jira for issue tracking,
• Experience working with an e-commerce platform - extra credit for experience with event ticketing systems
• Basic knowledge of PHP or equivalent web development frameworks
