BE PART OF THE TEAM WORKING TOWARDS #BETTERGLOBALHEALTH
This role works closely with the core development team to ensure the successful implementation of all changes to the core product. As an Associate API QA analyst you will support the QA strategy and governance while delivering QA support for a portfolio of projects, enhancements, and support initiatives. The role also involves testing and planning while working closely with the team of Developers and other QAs to ensure the product meets all quality standards. Although this role reports to the Director, Quality Assurance the incumbent will take guidance and coaching from the QA Team Lead for day-to-day matters. In addition, this role requires day-to-day interaction with implementation project managers.
Responsibilities:
- Create and execute test plans on multiple projects concurrently, documenting results and working with teammates to identify root causes.
- Identify test scenarios that are critical and repetitive and automate them, overseeing their execution and maintenance.
- Understand the highly technical features and functionality of our products in detail in order to plan for testing and other QA activities.
- Provide support to and collaborate with team members.
- Seek to understand project and customer context, objectives and use cases.
- Develop strategies for continuous improvement of software and its quality, such as manual test plans, automated testing technologies, performance and load testing frameworks, etc.
- Ensure that hours are tracked and reported for billing purposes.
- Contribute to project functions by attending standups and planning meetings, contributing to risk and hazard identification and analysis, identifying issues and working to resolve them.
- Read technical API gateway integration documents and help plan how to test new functionality. Most new functionality centers around complex integration scenarios with various security layers such as OIDC, SMART etc. Will need to understand specifications to test synchronous and asynchronous APIs as well as real-time and batch data processing.
- Work closely with customers and project teammates to ensure requirements are testable and the delivered solutions are coherent, consistent and complete.
- Build and provide guidance, coaching and growth to an effective team of product
- Collaborate with project teammates to deliver high quality software that meets customer requirements.
- Work with the team to ensure coding bugs are triaged and resolved in time, creating a culture of quality in the production teams.
Requirements:
- Proven knowledge and judgment in escalating issues when needed.
- Knowledge in electronic health records (EHR) or systems integration projects is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team and interact effectively with teams, stakeholders and clients.
- 0-2 years of experience in development or testing or any programming language.
- Excellent problem recognition and problem-solving abilities.
- Recent graduate in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- Experience in REST API and Web application testing using tools such as Postman is an asset.
- Experience working at a similar level, with automated testing tools is an asset. Our products are highly technical in nature and automated testing adds a great deal of value.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, prioritization, and organization skills.
