Junior – Intermediate Software Qa Engineer

We have a full-time, junior to intermediate QA position open to be filled immediately by a Canadian resident. While our Vancouver office is located on Granville Island, this role will be fully remote (work-from-home), with the option of working at the office if the employee wishes to. Must be able to work in PST or EST time zones.

We are a growing software development company focused on products that help deliver, monitor and manage training and assessment to organizations that are maximizing operational safety. Our initial focus has been in the maritime industry. Our client list is growing and includes well known customers in Canada, United States and Europe. We are looking foremost for someone who:

• Has clear spoken and written communication skills in English
• Are able to start the job ASAP and get up to speed quickly
• Has a friendly attitude and a positive outlook
• Is comfortable coding, has a background/education in computer programming and understands automated testing and the tools used to make that happen
• Can write elegant test scripts and documentation
• Love to test web applications
• Someone who loves to work on a wide variety of tasks
• Is intelligent, efficient, energetic, and well organized

Your education and experience:

• Experience with Selenium/Python
• Familiar with SQL Server, Entity framework code first, WCF, ASP.Net MVC
• Ideally has a university computer science degree (4-year)
• Experience with C# and also understanding Object-Oriented programming, databases and REST API are an asset

Pay will be negotiated, but in the range appropriate to a junior or intermediate position.
