We are currently seeking a Junior Financial Analyst to join our successful and rapidly growing Business Brokerage Real Estate Office, A.R. Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for the following:
- Assisting in the preparation of the Most Probable Selling Price (MPSP) report.
- Supporting other tasks that may arise during the transaction process.
- Providing administrative support to the transaction advisory team.
- Gathering and preparing information for the compilation of confidential information memoranda (CIM) and Confidential Business Overview (CBO) documents.
- Gathering due diligence information and managing the deal room for live transactions.
- Normalizing clients' financial statements with appropriate annotations.
- Gathering qualitative and quantitative information required for detailed financial reviews of businesses.
- Performing industry research and collecting benchmarking data for valuation purposes.
- Analyzing and reviewing financial statements.
- Compiling and entering data into modeling spreadsheets and analytical tools.
- Preparing financial statements that highlight key performance indicators such as SDE, EBIT, EBITDA.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- 0-3 years of experience in financial analysis and modeling.
- Experience working with brokerages is an asset.
- Ability to create confidential information memoranda/confidential business overviews and other client-facing deliverables.
- Experience in interpreting and reviewing financial statements.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Experience with commercial real estate accounting is a plus, but not required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
- Eagerness to learn and expand your accounting and financial knowledge.
- Strong time management skills and ability to multitask effectively.
- Experience working with privately held businesses is an asset.
- Ability to work towards and meet deadlines.
- Experience in preparing normalized financial statements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.

- Understanding of industry trends and market dynamics.
- Ability to effectively present financial information to clients and stakeholders.
