Job Title: Junior Data Analyst
Location: Whitby, ON
Environment: 10 days per month

Responsibilities
- All data stored in a data warehouse historically, you’ll lead on the structure, management and population of the warehouse
- Data Quality Assurance: The data must be of the highest quality and as usable as possible
- Data Documentation: Document the data collection, cleaning, transformation, and integration processes. Creation of data dictionaries, metadata, and other documentation to facilitate understanding and usage of the data by other stakeholders.
- Act as a champion for data management and BI across the business, maintaining your professional development and sharing views and experience
- Lead on the initiation and management of our data warehousing approach and platform, supporting the Director Information Office
- Data Security and Privacy: Responsible for ensuring data security and privacy measures are in place. Handling sensitive information with confidentiality, you’ll follow data protection regulations, and implement appropriate security controls.
- Support the wider Information Office in other duties as required
- Engage widely across the business to determine use case and system requirements, both now and into the future
- Data Integration: The data must be usable by other identified systems and department
- Data Collection: Gather and collect data from various sources, such as databases, APIs, files, and data streams. Ensuring that data is collected in a consistent and structured manner.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of relevant experience or a degree/diploma in BI
- Knowledge of R/ Python programming languages
- Knowledge of Export, Transform, and Load process
- Strong understanding of SQL Series
- Strong knowledge of REST and Graph Queries
