Director, Supply Chain Data Services

We are seeking a visionary and accomplished Supply Chain Director focused on Transformative Supply Chain Data Initiatives to revolutionize our supply chain operations.
Leveraging your knowledge of data science, AI, machine learning, and supply chain management, you will lead a team of talented professionals and collaborate with stakeholders across Supply Chain, IT, Finance, and Sales to optimize our supply chain processes and elevate our competitive advantage. As the Supply Chain Data Services Director, you and your team will be accountable for implementing data-related strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain processes. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the data architecture, establishing data governance standards, deriving actionable insights from data, and developing a comprehensive data strategy and roadmap aligned to our business objectives. You will also be responsible for driving the strategic vision and execution of AI-driven data solutions across our supply chain ecosystem.
Team Leadership
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identify talent gaps and implement strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent
• Set clear performance goals, conduct regular performance evaluations, and identify opportunities for professional development.
• Provide strategic direction and mentorship to the data services team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous learning, and excellence.

Data Strategy

• Develop a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the company's supply chain objectives and long-term business goals
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends related to supply chain data management, and recommend innovative solutions
• Identify opportunities for leveraging data to improve supply chain processes, reduce costs, and enhance overall operational efficiency

Data Governance

• Implement data documentation practices to facilitate data lineage and traceability Implement data governance practices to maintain data integrity and foster a data-driven culture
• Establish and implement data governance policies, that enable effective data collection & storage for utilization in AI initiatives, and ensure data quality, consistency, and security
• Identify data ownership, define data access controls, and create data dictionaries to promote a unified understanding of data elements

Data Insights

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and create data-driven dashboards and reports
• Proactively monitor supply chain performance metrics, analyze trends, and present actionable insights to senior management
• Lead a team of data analysts and data scientists to derive meaningful insights from large and complex supply chain datasets

AI Strategy And Roadmap

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI adoption in various aspects of the supply chain
• Create a roadmap for the successful implementation of AI solutions, considering scalability, feasibility, and ROI.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI and machine learning technologies, and assess their potential impact on supply chain operations.
• In partnership with the Supply Chain leadership, develop and communicate a comprehensive AI strategy aligned with the company's supply chain objectives and long-term business goals.
• Drive the deployment of AI-powered tools to support decision-making, process automation, and data-driven insights.
• Identify AI opportunities and use cases that can enhance supply chain efficiency

Data Architecture

• Support the Data Services team with the design and implementation of data models, data warehouses, and data pipelines to support data analytics and reporting

Education And Experience

• Proven experience in leading data-related initiatives in a supply chain, logistics, or related domain.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Excellent leadership skills with a track record of effectively managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes and their interdependencies, coupled with expertise in data management and analytics.
• Experience in implementing data governance frameworks and data quality management practices.
• In-depth knowledge of data architecture principles, data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
