  • Return to Office: As of March 2022 Loblaw has adopted the following Hybrid working model (a combination of working between the office and remotely). Colleagues will continue working remotely up to 2 days a week, while spending the other 3 days in the office.


General Summary


This role will support Warehouse and Capital financial analysis and reporting for the Supply Chain network


ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Assist with Supply Chain Warehouse financial operations, analysis, reporting and consolidation for Western Canada
  • Support Supply Chain Capital Expenditure operations, analysis, reporting and consolidation for Canada, nationally
  • Projects/Initiatives/Programs/Systems/Processes
  • Work alongside the Senior Manager, Supply Chain Finance and West Supply Chain Operations teams to increase efficiencies, identify improvement opportunities and implement appropriate solutions.


Relationship Building


  • Provide support to all West Operations teams, including 3rd party warehousing teams.
  • Gain the confidence of the business by providing accurate and timely financial information, delivery with a sense of urgency and coping with business changes effectively and efficiently.


Communication Internal/External


  • Keep appropriate individuals informed and up to date (team members/senior management) on status of financial information and projects.
  • Work closely with business contacts to understand the evolution of the business to ensure accurate planning and strategizing around financial processes.


Any Other Duties As Required


  • Any other responsibilities or projects, as required.


KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:


  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Proactive individual, able to effectively manage various projects simultaneously.
  • Skills Required:
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage resources, timelines and budgets
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with people at various levels of an organization.
  • Current enrollment in a relevant post-secondary program, focused on Accounting, Finance or related disciplines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong technical skills (accounting practices/standards, computer skills, etc.)
