Junior Electromechanical Technician Jobs

One of our largest clients in the logistics industry is looking for a certified Electromechanical Technician! This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, meaning the client does consider candidates for permanent hire after they demonstrate their abilities as temps.
Under the responsibility of the Engineering Manager & Logistics Engineer, the Electromechanical Technician is responsible for providing on-site technical and maintenance support on different aspects related to the robotic 'cartonization' system.
The wages and shifts are as follows:

• Days: Mon-Thu (7a-5p), $25/h
• Nights: Mon-Thu (8p-6a), $26/h

Responsibilities

• Perform minor facility maintenance work. Coordinate service maintenance and support with external contractors (for both the Robotic System and the facility).
• Provide technical and maintenance support related to the Robotic Cartonization System.
• Repair, rework and calibrate electromechanical components in order to meet engineering specifications.
• Diagnose and resolve problems related to the Robotic Cartonization System.
• Look for continuous improvement opportunities
• May be required to work during the core hour shift in some occasions

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in preparing and conducting training preferred
• 1-2 years experience in conducting tests and inspections of products and processes to evaluate quality and performance preferred
• Post-secondary education in Electromechanics required
• 1-2 years experience in service and maintenance of electromechanical components preferred
• 1-2 years with trouble shooting of automated systems preferred
