Intermediate Cad Technician Jobs

Responsibilities

A day in the life:

• Reviewing drawings to ensure they meet clients drafting standards.
• Complete field inspections
• Preparing design packages at varies stages including conceptional drawings, detailed design drawings and post construction drawings.
• Actively participate in the design and provide input to the design team throughout the design process.
• Creating base plans from topographic survey information
• Mentor and coach junior staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Prepare material and quantity take offs at varies stages of design.
• Working as a member of the design team to achieve project goals.
• Adhere to WSP’s guiding principles.

Qualifications

• Customer Service oriented with commitment to working within a team environment and wider organization.
• Post-Secondary education in a relevant field.
• Organized and methodical with a resourceful capacity for resolving challenges.
• Survey experience is an asset
• Strong, self-motivated work ethic with ability to be effective and timely while providing consistent follow up.
• Strong attention to detail
• English proficiency is a must, French is an asset
• Proficient in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Valid drivers license.
• 5 to 10 years of experience, preferably in hydraulic design
