Gis Cad Technician Jobs

Junior CAD Technician (minimum 2 years of experience)

Intermediate CAD Technician (6-7 years of experience)

Senior CAD Technician (10+ years of experience)

Utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D knowledge in projects from concept to completion;

2-10 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting and design;

Experience in working on the field would be considered as an asset;

Post-Secondary education in a relevant field.

5 to 10 years of experience, preferably in hydraulic design

Survey experience is an asset

Creating base plans from topographic survey information

Preparing design packages at varies stages including conceptional drawings, detailed design drawings and post construction drawings.

Prepare material and quantity take offs at varies stages of design.

Minimum education requirement: College diploma in a related field

• Training in the areas of forest operations, forest management, mobile mapping applications

Manage and edit GIS data in a variety of programs (ArcGIS, QGIS, etc)

Applicant meets the eligibility requirements for the NOHFC Workforce Development Stream

Experience working with GIS and related software

Bush-road driving skills considered in asset

Excellent organization and time management skills

Identify when further help may be needed for more information and manage request and follow-up.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Experience with as-built maps (fiber, telco, etc) to identify current routes and splice points is preferred.

Experience in OSP construction, fiber construction, copper construction, utility construction is preferred.

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

-3+ years local experience with medium to large scale projects.

Actively work at improving drafting skills

Minimum of 5+ years of civil designing experience;

Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills;

Experience on municipal and/or private sector projects an asset, and;

Experience in Autodesk Revit an asset.

Past experience implementing AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D in Engineering

5 to 10 years of experience, preferably in Ports, Maritime, Coastal, Civil and Infrastructure works

Sound knowledge in structural engineering with good knowledge of reinforcement bar detailing is an asset

This position reports directly to the Manager of Engineering and key responsibilities include:

Assists in the design of individual supply circuits for service installations and line changes to accommodate service requirements.

Knowledge of ArcMap GIS and ESRI Products.

Technical diploma, CAD certificate or equivalent with 3 to 5 years of work experience;

Preference given to candidates with environmental and geotechnical drafting experience;

Experience with software, such as Global Mapper, Surfer, gINT and Adobe Creative Suite considered an asset; and

Training will be provided through Planitar Inc.’s learning management system, iGUIDE Academy.

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge of BOMA, ANSI or RMS measurement standards.

Work with Draft, our proprietary drafting software designed by Planitar to produce iGUIDE floor plans for residential and commercial real estate.

Work with Xactimate to prepare floor plan sketches for estimating.

Preference will be given to candidates with local experience in the survey and geomatics industry.

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D Software is required; experience with other CAD/Mapping/GIS software is an asset

Attention to detail and excellent communication skills (verbal and written) are required

Experience with title research and accessing survey plans through LTSA is an asset

Flexibility to work remotely part time as needed
