Maintenance Technician Jobs

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance work on the production equipment and instrumentation according to the preventive maintenance program;

• Participate in improvement initiatives related to the production system, equipment installation, and validation;

• Repair, maintain, and calibrate equipment using proper tools;

• Perform daily maintenance work and maintain appropriate records on all repairs in accordance with the GMP rules;

• Manage emergencies and optimize resources to resolve problems on a 24/7 basis operation facility;

• Create and complete work orders using the CMMS (computerized maintenance management system);

• Purchase consumable workshop stock;

• Determine the spare parts needed for repairing the production equipment and maintain the computerized inventory control program;

• Apply safety rules and Good Manufacturing Procedures as per guidelines;

• Provide support to contractors and ensure that their work being performed meets the Abbott standards.

Qualifications

• High School Degree;

• 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar position;

• Understanding and experience working with basic computer software like the Office Suite;

• Knowledge of electro-mechanic or mechanic on maintenance equipment;

• Technical expertise in Foods and/or Pharmaceuticals operations;

• Dynamic and goal-oriented;

• Able to adapt to a fast-changing environment and find efficient solutions;

• Autonomous;

• Team player;

• Advanced knowledge of the French language, and basic knowledge of the English language.
