About the Role:

SEDDI is seeking a highly motivated Junior Account Executive to perform sales activities with small to medium sized entities for the company’s suite of products, beginning initially with SEDDI Textura, our textile digitization solution. This role will bridge sales and marketing goals and play an essential part in building sales pipeline and achieving company revenue goals. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns and outbound target prospect lists, demoing SaaS products, and meeting sales quotas. This is primarily a remote role, with the ability to meet in person monthly with fellow SEDDI team members if located in Halifax, Nova Scotia.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Set up meetings and conduct product demos and sales pitches
  • Report to internal stakeholders on weekly/monthly/quarterly results
  • Conduct introductory calls with prospects and further qualify opportunities by applying SEDDI’s BANT parameters
  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans
  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
  • Contact potential customers through emails and cold calls
  • Follow up with customers post sale and work to expand and renew accounts
  • Support customers through the buying process and close deals
  • Identify customer needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Researching prospects and customizing outreach to create targeted, engaging messaging


Requirements and Skills:

  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Hubspot)
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • 1-3 years of proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Development Representative, Account Executive, or a similar role
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Familiarity with MS Excel/Google Sheets (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Preference to Eastern and Atlantic locations/timezones
  • B.A. degree or equivalent
