It Technician (12-Month Contract)

About The Role

As an IT Technician, you will provide support for the computer-related needs of our Windsor manufacturing site from both a print-production and an administrative-related perspective.

What You Will Do

• Working in a Kanban ticket queue using the Atlassian Jira Cloud system
• Configuring and supporting hardware such as laptops, desktop PCs, cell phones, label printers, hand-held scanners, and hand-held PDA devices
• Obtaining quotes from vendors and purchasing required equipment
• Maintaining documentation of existing processes and documenting for new ones
• Following best security practices as per guidelines from our security team
• Preparing and sending equipment for repair
• Answering a hotline to field calls and questions
• Managing inventory levels and performing periodic inventory checks
• Auditing asset locations and decommissioning end-of-life assets

What You Need:

• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Flexible to changing work hours and shifts depending on the business needs including Afternoons and Midnights
• Moderate knowledge of desktop support for Microsoft operating systems and applications and hardware installation
• Ability to react quickly in an ever-changing environment
• Post-secondary or equivalent certification in a computer related field
