Overview Of The Role

This role reports to the IT Vice-President, Security & Compliance

and has responsibility for overseeing the implementation of the IT risk and compliance management governance and strategy.

The candidate will play an active role and will heavily interact with the rest of the IT group and business leaders, to enable Saputo in delivering its Strategic Business Growth in a Secure and Cyber Resilient Digital environment.

The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, complex, and global context working easily with a diverse set of stakeholders at various levels of the organization and adopts a continuous improvement mindset in all risk and compliance activities.

The Director will collaborate with several business and IT stakeholders to ensure that security controls are adequate and remain aligned with the standards/policies from all jurisdictions where Saputo operates. Candidate will help develop and implement security and regulatory compliance tailored processes and procedures (internal controls) globally.

Based on depth of knowledge and experience with controls and compliance, the incumbent will facilitate interactions with rest of IT groups and to ensure better outcome of internal and external audits.

As part of the individual’s role, the Director will also define and manage an IT Risk framework that will provide visibility to security risks, opportunities and decisions required.

Our ideal candidate will have a diversity of experience in multiple IT operational and project IT security roles. The candidate will balance strategic imperatives with pragmatic realities, defining direction for the future while delivering on near term needs.

How You Will Make Contributions That Matter:

• Make broad recommendations on improving compliance to related security standards/policies and/or procedures
• Promote a risk awareness culture throughout the organization
• Define and implement security compliance management Framework
• Challenge & counsel to senior technology leadership on business plans, major change programs such as technology transformation and key security risk issues
• Be the main point of contact for IT and assist on all internal and external audit teams where IT inquiry is required
• Define and implement compliance program to ensure adherence to internal security policies/standards including periodic activity reviews
• Provide Risk oversight, by designing and operating an overall security risk management process for the organization
• Collaborate across I&S domains, core and regional IT functions maintaining alignment to global IT strategy.
• Understand and align internal policies in adherence with the security and privacy standards in effect in the different jurisdictions where Saputo operates
• Direct, lead and coordinate a combination of direct reports and cross-functional matrix teams to achieve objectives.

You Are Best Suited for The Role If You Have the Following Qualifications:

• 7+ years of relevant experience in this role.
• Facilitate problem solving and collaboration
• Demonstrated success working with internal audit, external auditors, outside consultants, and legal affairs
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) preferred
• Knowledge and experience with NIST CSF, SOC2, ISO27001 standards and frameworks is a strong asset
• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering or information technology.
• Ideally bilingual - English (a must) and French.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to communicate compliance related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff
• Demonstrated experience leading large-scale projects
• Knowledge of policies and procedures related such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPPA and PCI
• Successful experience working, collaborating, and establishing credibility and relationships with senior leadership, colleagues, and clients
