What You Will Do
Our Toronto office is seeking undergraduate students to join the team as a full-time hire in Winter 2024 as a part of our Risk Consulting practice.
This role is open to both those who are pursuing a CPA and those who are not. Please note, CPA PER requirements can be met through GRCS projects and engagements.
Our Enterprise Risk Management Team
Our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) professionals provide a broad range of risk advisory services to organizations including implementation of risk management programs, defining risk operating models, business process / technology enablement, development of specialized risk programs (e.g. third-party risk, operational risk, reputational risk), facilitation of enterprise risk assessments, governance diagnostics and more. We assist organizations to understand their strategic risks, and help our clients make more proactive and risk informed decisions.
We are looking for dynamic professionals to join our growing ERM department. The successful candidate will be responsible in supporting the planning, execution, and reporting for engagements, working both as part of larger engagement teams and individually with guidance and review from more senior professionals. You'll have the opportunity to work across geographies and industries to take on challenging and groundbreaking projects while building strong relationships with our people and developing professional skills that will help set you up for success, and be involved with the following
  • Participate and support senior personnel in walkthroughs, interviews and workshops
  • Assist organizations in various types of ERM engagements including, but not limited to
  • Conducting ‘risk deep dives’ for new and emerging areas of concern for the Board and Management
  • Participate in multiple client engagements of varying size, scope and complexity.
  • Implementing / augmenting ERM systems and GRC tools based on business requirements
  • Designing and implementing various risk management frameworks (e.g. enterprise risk, operational risk, project risk, reputational risk, etc.)
  • Developing tools, techniques and templates for organizations to use to sustain their ERM programmes
  • Articulating and designing risk governance structures for the Risk Function, Management Committees and Board Committees
  • Automating risk reports / dashboards and workflows using Tableau and PowerBI
  • Facilitating enterprise risk assessments to assist organizations in the identification, prioritization and assessment of key organizational risks
  • Conducting risk culture reviews
  • Assisting organizations in out-sourced ERM function efforts (e.g. collection and reporting of key risk information to the Board and Management)
  • Developing risk appetite statements, tolerances and thresholds
  • Assist in the execution of engagements through formal and informal client interactions, research and benchmarking, documentation of meeting minutes, management presentations, reports and development of proposals
