It's also why we reinvest our profits in the same places they're earned, and why we sponsor programs that promote financial literacy and economic development.Job OverviewThe Application Developer will be responsible for translating software requirements into workable programming code and will maintain and develop programs for use in business, automation, configuration management, workflow development and parametrization.RoleActively participate in the development and testing of technical updates to the T24 Banking SystemApply your capabilities and know-how for the documentation of requirements and RFPs as required for existing and new clientsLead on code development and/or modifications to routines, versions, enquires, screens, tabs, menus, process workflows, local fields, and local tablesAssist in the development of APIs and web applicationsComplete interface updates, modifications, automation of services, and developmentEnsure and confirm parametrization changes in T24 are completeStay up to date in your area of expertise through research and consult about potential software and/or system changesCommunicate with others about current industry trends, new technologies and services that impact member and employee experience as well as providing factual recommendationsReview programs for corrections and enhancements or environment changesMaintain user manuals and training materialsAccurately maintain and ensure FirstOntario's data integrity standardsConsider health & safety as a primary concern to ensure the safety of self and othersPerform other duties as requiredRequired SkillsPost-secondary diploma or degree in computer science or equivalent in a related programHave five plus (5+) years of working knowledge of Java, mobile development, APIs, .NETHave training and experience in Temenos T24 software support and development considered an assetUnderstand and have working knowledge of System Develop Life Cycle (SDLC) processes for planning, creating, testing and deploying an information systemBe an expert user of MS OfficeHave knowledge of application development best practicesBe an analytical thinker with a keen sense for detailBe quick to respond to requests for service from all of your clients in a manner which is clearly understoodBe analytical and detail oriented when dealing with technical support issues and IT projectsOpenly share your knowledge with the teamAbility to provide strong member experienceDemonstrate a high level of integrity and be trustworthyDemonstrate superior written and verbal communication skillsAbility to take action in difficult and challenging situations and deal with uncertaintyBe aware of and mitigate enterprise risk factors and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, legislation and FirstOntario policies and proceduresBe available to work evenings and weekends as the job demands and travel as requiredActively participate in an on-call rotationOur StoryOur emphasis on service means we're constantly searching for new team members whose dedication to helping people is as powerful as their ambition to succeed.
