This Applications Developer is responsible for providing protype, design, concept, and visualization to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Product management, and development teams on Data ingestion/Database, Tableau, Web development, and other members of the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to build and lead applications data analysis, business intelligence systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities:

• Able to grasp client needs, interpret briefs and consider practical solutions, while suggesting alternatives and challenging in a positive way.
• Provide QA testing support and UAT support for the developed reports or dashboards.
• Assist with development of content and dashboards when necessary
• Enhanced data collection and availability with Data-driven BCMA focused analytics and insights for better decision making.
• Avoidance of End user computing, which are manual in nature like Excels, PPTs, and word documents.
• Oversee process for technical issue escalation and prioritize technical issue resolution
• Create great and productive internal relationships.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
• Able to balance work on several projects at a time while meeting all deadlines.
• Leverage skills across Applications Development area (UI/Metrics and Insights) to provide technical oversight across systems and applications
• Assume functional ownership of the solution, manage scope of the project effectively; Provide oversight on processes involved
• Incorporate digital culture with improved collaboration on viewing the insights in one centralized model.
• Implement visualization solutions following the industry best practices, as well as Enterprise User experience standards and color schemes.
• Design data structure for Tableau report level consumption and build prototypes to enable conversations with Clients/stakeholders prior to the actual build
• Analyze source data, build SQLs, and optimize SQL performance for tableau reporting needs. He will also perform unit testing of the reports or dashboards developed.
• Understand and analyze data to find patterns BCMA – Banking, Capital Markets, and Advisory domain understanding to provide valuable business insights to facilitate Bankers and BCMA Business Management generate better ROI and Revenue generating opportunities
• Ability to deploy reports or dashboards to development, Quality Assurance (“QA”) and User Acceptance Testing (“UAT”) environment.
• Coordinate with a team of Applications Development professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team
• Articulate and facilitate conversations with business owners, delivery team, client co-ordination.
• Ability to straddle the worlds of concept/visualization, design, and prototyping
• Oversee requirement gathering and understanding, effort estimation, technical design, project planning and monitoring.
• Possess excellent analytical skills and be able to sieve through large and often conflicting data to develop key insights
• Better ROI for Business stakeholders with increased agility, efficiency, and productivity
• Able to work with speed and accuracy.
• Resolve issues using in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within applications development

Qualifications:

• Ability to take ownership and make technical decisions on software development (UI/BI/Metrics and insights/Analytics) projects
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Experience with dependency management, change management, continuous integration testing tools, and audit/compliance requirements
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills
• 5-8 years of relevant experience (Tableau/Business intelligence, Data analysis)

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
