KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in the month end process and back up for the junior accountants
• Assist with the budget and forecast process
• Responsible for fixed asset management (acquisition, project tracking, service retirements etc.)
• Support various financial reports on a monthly basis and ad hoc basis
• Work with Operations and other functional areas to ensure completeness and accuracy of results
• Prepare monthly/quarterly management reports along with variance analysis as required
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and advise improvement recommendations
• Assist in compiling and analyzing the operational reports that support business decisions
• Conduct inventory control (cycle count, y/e stock take, adjustments), ensuring the inventory records are accurate and refreshed timely
• Examine and analyze ledger entries, validate balance sheets accounts and other accounting and financial records, documents, and systems to ensure financial recording accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards
• Process freight, and other batch invoices in a timely manner, and responsible for the reconciliations

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent teamwork, communication, interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy, with ability to meet deadlines
• Diploma in Accounting/Business administration/Economics
• 5+ years’ experience in full cycle of accounting, manufacturing experience would be an asset.
• Hands on experience with SAP preferred
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, with the ability to quickly learn new applications
• Self-motivated, passions on exploring doing things in a different way
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
